Beijing meeting of Palestinian groups tells us how divided Palestinians are

China gathered a group of 14 Palestinian groups and persuaded them to give up their rivalries and unite for Palestinian people.

Seeing the bitter ravalries between major groups like Fatah and Hamas, I do not think that they will form the interim national government.

We have witnessed deadly clashes between Hamas and Fatah which had resulted in hundreds of deaths in the past.

I personally think that this Beijing Declaration will not work. These groups will start cutting each other’s throats once Israel move out of Gaza.

Representatives of Egypt, Russia and Algera were also present in the meeting.

The presence of Russia shows that they have made a plan to interfer in Gaza.

Will China and Russia be able to setup an interim government without the US support? How would they persuade Israel to leave Gaza so this interim government can be put in place?
