Why did a Sunni militant organization like Hamas approach a shia country for help?

Arab states do not like Hamas because of its link to Brotherhood. They fear if they support Hamas it will create supporters for Hamas in their states who can overthrow their governments.

Are their fear justified? I don’t think. There is no doubt they follow a similar political ideology like Muslim Brotherhood but their target is different from Muslim brotherhood, it is restricted to Palestine.

Arab states do not like Muslim Brotherhood because of its political ideology. They fear that their ideology can inspire people to launch movements in their states like Egypt. Because of their fear they never supported Hamas.

Both Hamas and Muslim Brotherhood follow a fundamental belief in political Islam.

Arab states attitude and behavior pushed Hamas to Iran. Now , we see how Iran exploited them and created a big problem for them.

Common Arab in the street is supporting Hamas.
